We enjoy the challenge of working with clients with specific needs, and maintain strong, long-term relationships. I really like it when clients come back and want us to do another project.

Management
Fulton Trotter Architects has a long history of managing their own projects without the need to engage or work with a separate project manager. This is no accident. We have strategically targeted this type of market for its projects, as they are ‘of a size’ that do not require the additional service of a separate project manager.
Most projects worked on by Fulton Trotter Architects are between $1 million and $30 million in value and we have developed ‘in house’ systems for reporting on projects to ensure they are not only designed well but also managed well.
All of our projects run on a standard approach with regular Project Control Group/Steering Committees that we report to and chair once a month for the duration of the project. This meeting is in addition to site meetings with the contractor that are held during construction. Before these meetings we circulate an agenda, previous minutes and a standard Monthly Report document that provides members of the committee with information about the project.
The standard format for this report includes:
- Project Management
Progress, Program, Approvals, Meetings and Consultation, Contract Appointments. - Design
Pending Decisions, Key decisions made recently, Secondary Consultant reports. - Construction
Site Minutes, Progress Report, Site Photos. - Cost Management
Excel Spreadsheet that provides overall summary along with Consultants fees,
Construction Costs, Approved Variations, Anticipated Variations, Approval Costs, other costs.
We take the issue of management seriously and given that we work for a range of Government bodies and ‘Not for Profit’ providers, we understand the need to report on projects in an accountable and professional manner.
We’re proud of our process, we have been developing it for sixty-five years. Our clients find it easy to understand because it is clearly presented and can be tailored to work in with our clients existing procedures.
