2015 Australian Institute of Architects Queensland State Awards
Fulton Trotter Architects are proud to have two projects in the running at the 2015 Australian Institute of Architects Queensland State Awards tonight.
The ceremony recognises excellence in architecture and design, drawing commendation winners from the regional awards season to compete for the prestigious state awards.
Noosa Flexible Learning Centre and Ambrose Treacy College Stage A: Edmund Rice Building Refurbishment are up for consideration after being recognised in their regional sectors.
Noosa Flexible Learning Centre recently received the award for ‘Best Entire New School’ at the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) awards being praised for ”providing a responsive and welcoming learning environment for young people”.

The Edmund Rice Building at Ambrose Treacy College boasts 80 years of history. Originally a boarding school followed by an American Military Hospital during WW2, the building went through many changes. The Stage A works focused on repairing and reverting the building to its once former glory.

Stage B at Ambrose Treacy College is currently under construction. The new works consist of a GLA building, Specialist building, new Library, car park facilities and external road upgrade. Construction is anticipated for completion early 2016.
State winners will then progress to the National Architecture Awards on 5 November.
