Art from the Margins at 2016 Brisbane Festival

Since 2008, Fulton Trotter Architects have actively supported “Art from the Margins,” a program assisting artists living with mental health issues, physical or intellectual disabilities and homelessness.

Art from the Margins (AFTM) is an initiative of Wesley Mission Brisbane, designed to bring artists together. To bridge the gap between artists living in isolation and the wider community and provide opportunities to re-engage with the world through art.

Fulton Trotter Architects recently increased our yearly support to this incredible program – from $10,000 to $20,000 – which will help to provide exhibition and professional development opportunities for over 400 artists living in and around the Brisbane area.

A major exhibition of these artists’ work is held at the Brisbane City Hall, as part of the Brisbane Festival each year. The 2016 exhibition, themed “Inside – Outside” will be on display from Thursday 15th September to Sunday 18th September.

We would love you to come and support this important exhibition, and will keep you updated, via our social media, with details as the exhibition approaches.
