Our Lady of Mercy College Showcased at 2018 LEA Conference

Our Lady of Mercy College at Burraneer was on show during the recent Learning Environments Australasia Conference, ‘Three Rs In the Exponential Age’.

The yearly event is an important opportunity for architects and designers to have a deep discussion with educators about the future of education and the design of facilities that support these ideas.

Fulton Trotter Architects showcased Our Lady of Mercy College (OLMC) at Burraneer, a year 7 to 12 catholic girls secondary college as part of a tour of conference delegates. An excited busload of people were welcomed by Ann Freeman, the Principal of the College and introduced to the ideas behind the school’s current education methods and the nature of the facilities.

The group then broke into two to undertake the tours guided by Director, Greg Isaac and Associate, Alison Sheil as well as College staff. The educational and architectural ideas were discussed, viewed and conveyed.

Once again Learning Environments Australasia put forward a very insightful conference and we were excited to be involved in the activities.
