Premier's Sustainability Awards 2014
The Premier’s Sustainability Awards takes place tonight at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The awards recognise the achievements of Queensland industries, communities, schools, individuals and businesses in adopting sustainable business practices.
The 2014 awards program includes nine award categories with the Premier’s Award presented to an individual or group of individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to promoting and advancing sustainability in Queensland.
St Mary’s Catholic College – Mercy House in Ipswich has been entered into the Sustainable Heritage category. The Sustainable Heritage Award is given to an individual or organisation for outstanding conservation, which may include preservation, restoration, reconstruction, adaptation and re-purposing, of a place entered in the Queensland Heritage Register by applying innovative sustainable management practices.
