Fulton Trotter Architects were the original Architects responsible for the major extensions to the Geebung Zillmere RSL in 1999. The brief for the recent additions was to provide new service areas on both existing levels and an extended and refurbished bar and function areas, also on both levels. The areas concerned are in the oldest part of the Club which badly needed modernisation.
The finishes have been selected from a palette of natural materials including stone and timber for a consistently rich and fresh feel. The functions room feature a 7-metre window mural depicting poppies in the fields of Flanders.
