Bridgeman Downs Residence

This project is located in Brisbane in the acreage suburb of Bridgeman Downs. Set on a north western sloping site with a fairly busy street to the west, the house is set away from the street and along the contour of the hill which is diagonal to the boundary.

The plan is broken in to two halves longitudinally with the western half sitting on a slab and being clad in metal, the eastern set on a raised timber floor with glass and timber cladding. The junction point is expressed in a bagged and painted masonry wall. The main circulation path through the house weaves either side of the spine wall.

High ceilings with exposed, low tech, gang nail trusses, give a spacious character, all looking out over a melaleuca forest and pool area.
