Faith Lutheran College Master Plan

Faith Lutheran College is located in Plainland, a rural town, west of Brisbane. The college commissioned Fulton Trotter Architects to prepare a masterplan for the development of their existing secondary school into a primary, middle and secondary school, over a number of years.
In many ways, a school can be considered a small town, with its administrative, arts + cultural facilities, industrial buildings, and libraries set amongst a collection of houses (classrooms). This idea has informed the masterplan of the site, which has been further influenced by the site’s natural topography, and local climate. Streets have been created in a grid pattern, organising both pedestrian circulation and view corridors through the school to the surrounding landscape.
