Faith Lutheran College – The Humanities & Physical Education Centre

Sited within a rural landscape, with views casting across grassy fields to natural bushland, the Humanities & Physical Education Centre adds the final structure to the specialist building precinct of the Faith Lutheran College senior campus Master Plan.

The building consists of a north and south wing of learning spaces, connected by a high volume outdoor covered learning area. The flexible internal spaces and generous external covered areas promote opportunities for teaching, learning and gathering, whilst the inclusion of an 8.5m rock climbing tower inside the single storey structure challenges the notion of a traditional classroom typology.

The multitude of outdoor spaces makes the most of the South-east Queensland environment, in encouraging indoor/outdoor teaching and learning experiences, creating a rich and varied experience for the school community to benefit from.
