Good Samaritan Catholic Primary School, Fairy Meadow
Fairy Medow New South Wales
Fulton Trotter Architects were engaged by The Catholic Education Office, Diocese of Wollongong to develop a Masterplan for the amalgamation of two Primary Schools onto the one site in Fairy Meadow, Wollongong. St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School (a single stream school) was to be amalgamated onto the St John Vianey’s Catholic Primary School site (originally a 2 stream school) to create a new 3 stream primary school facility.
A Master Plan was developed that added several new buildings to the site and refurbished the remainder of the facilities. It was proposed that the new buildings would accentuate the existing linear arrangement of buildings on the site – running East to West along the site – creating a series of feature blades that would unify the existing buildings and the new facilities.
