Kiama Library

Kiama Library had existed in a converted squash court since 1989, but had well outgrown the facility. The council wanted to remain in the central business district so decided to extend and remodel the existing facility. The library was doubled in size with zones for children, young people, adults and specialised groups being built. Simple lightweight materials and structures were used to minimise footing costs in difficult ground conditions.
