Lindley Street Apartments

Fulton Trotter Architects was commissioned by the Queensland Department of Housing to design a group of medium density dwellings in an existing low density neighbourhood of Stafford adjacent Gibson Park. The dwellings also contained a number of adaptable units in the two story buildings.

The massing of the housing was designed to have a low impact at the front with two buildings visually break down the scale at street level. The larger three storey building was located to the rear and on the park. The scale, form, colour and texture of each building within the precinct was varied to reduce the bulk and impact on the traditional streetscape setting.
