Mt Maria College Rose Pelletier Building
As part of the Master Plan for Mt Maria College the existing Former Home is to be renovated to allow for the combining of two campus into one.
Stage One of the Master Plan (The Marcellin Champagnat Building) was completed February 2012. The Rose Pelletier Building: Former Home Renovation and Canteen and Multi Purpose Centre was completed January 2013.
The project involves the renovation of the Former Home to allow for all Administration, Staff, Student Support and Library functions for the combined campus. This will form the heart or “Family Spirit” portion of the school. The Former Home is a heritage listed building that was built in the 1930’s, between then and now numerous additions, alterations and in fills have occurred. The renovation of the building will aim to restore, reopen and modernise the building.
It also involves the construction of a new car park including “kiss & drop off” area, lockable bike parking and a new pedestrian link. Works also include modifying an existing car park for people with disabilities adjacent to the former home entry.
Extend service driveway for delivery to the back of the former home.
Two other buildings are also part of this project; the first is a canteen/hospitality kitchen adjacent to the Former Home. The second is the Multi-Purpose Court and Facilities at the bottom of the site.
