The Noosa Flexible Learning Centre refurbishment is the culmination of the desire to enhance while complementing the existing and an acknowledgement of the glorious natural location of the school.
The refurbishment intended to meet the client brief to provide a calming, safe and welcoming learning environment for both students and staff. This was achieved by the thoughtful and flexible layout of spaces to encourage communal activity but also provide a level of retreat and amenity. Natural materials and colour has been used judiciously throughout to suggest activity/engagement and rest – vibrant red and colours of the earth and the sea.
The result is well considered and aesthetically satisfying, responding generously to users’ needs.
