Doug has gained valuable firsthand experience in architectural design, documentation and construction whilst completing his bachelor and master degrees part-time at QUT. Much of his work experience has been in the regional centres of Queensland on a wide range of health, education and community projects, with values from $500,000 to $40 million in construction value.
Working in these regions has allowed Doug to hone his architectural skills, focusing on cost effective, practical and environmentally responsive architectural solutions. More recently, Doug has worked on John Wesley Gardens Aged Care Redevelopment at Geebung.
As an Associate, Doug remains an integral part of the Fulton Trotter team and continues to manage a team of student and graduate architects on various projects. Doug has a keen interest in mentoring the younger team members and broadening their architectural experiences from project inception to completion.
In the near future, Doug plans to complete his architectural exams and become registered, the final step in his architectural education.
